UMSC Facilities

Berkoff Pool

The Berkoff pool has two diving boards and a twisty tube slide! Dedicated to David Berkoff, past UMSC member and Olympic Gold Medalist in 1988, the pool is the main recreation pool for the membership. It remains open even while competitive swim meets are taking place in the Tillman pool!

Tillman Pool

The Tillman pool is a 25 meter competition pool, used for recreation when there are no swim meets. Lap lanes are reserved for daily exercise. Child-free intervals called "adult swim" are provided in the Tillman pool for adult members seeking a moment of tranquility.

Baby Pool

The Baby Pool is gently graded for use by tiny tykes and children < 5 who are not ready for the 2.5' section of the Berkoff Pool. Spray fountains add to the fun, and a shaded bench area provides break periods from the hot sun for children and caregivers who supervise them.

Diving Boards

Two diving boards in the Berkoff pool are a popular hang out for children of all ages.  The 1 meter boards allow divers to practice becoming the next Olympic Champion or to create a tsunami with a cannonball, all in the safety of 12 feet of water.

Gator Grille

On those blazing hot days when it's just too hot to cook, retire to the Gator Grille. Our snack bar has a fully operational kitchen complete with cheese steaks and pizza as well as candy and Tanner's ice cream! We also serve veggie burgers. We accept cash, Visa, and Mastercard, too.

Picnic Area

Also available to our patrons is the picnic area complete with propane grills.  The picnic area is a perfect place for birthday parties and family reunions.  UMSC accomodates parties that include non-members too, so your whole family can come enjoy the sun.

Outdoor Ping Pong and Shuffleboard

The shuffleboard court offers a fun alternative for kids when they're water- logged or too cold to swim. Activity is the name of the game!

Playground, Basketball, Volleyball, and Tennis Courts

Children often find entertainment away from the pool in the playground area.  Whether they are working up a sweat on the equipment or digging in the sand.
