How do I cancel my bond?

If you need to cancel your membership with the Upper Moreland Swim Club (UMSC) before the start of the season, please return your bond along with a written request to UMSC, P.O. Box 264, Willow Grove, PA 19090. You may also email contact.umswimclub@gmail.com with your request if you cannot find your bond.

What is the guest policy?

Members of the swim club are allowed to bring guests into the club during normal operating hours. Each guest must pay a guest fee.  Any groups of guests over 8 people should be registered through the front desk. Guests must be made aware of the Club's operating rules, especially as they relate to safety, by the members who host them!

How can I make a party reservation?

If you need to request a party reservation, see the front desk or email frontdesk.umswimclub@gmail.com for more info.

What is the deep water band test?

All children less than 13 years of age have to take and pass the deep water band test in order to swim past the 3 foot rope, use the diving board/slide, or swim in the Tillman pool without an adult. To pass, swimmers must jump/dive into the 12' diving well and swim the width of the pool, stopping halfway to tread water for approximately 45 seconds - all without touching the sides or bottom of the pool.

Who owns UMSC?

UMSC is owned by the bond holding members. When membership into the club is granted to a family, members purchase a bond at a one time fee. Each year members pay a renewal/operations fee which contributes to our operations budget for the season among other things. Fees also go into accounts funding pool repair, salaries for the staff, and construction. In essence, all "revenues" go right back into repairing and expanding the club, ultimately making it better for you!

Who runs UMSC?

UMSC is managed by the Board of Directors (BOD) and its staff. The BOD is a panel of members elected to office by the other bond holders of the club. There are 15 general board members and 4 on the executive board. Each board member serves a 3 year term, with 5 members up for election every summer. The 4 executive board positions are decided each year by the other members of the BOD. The four positions include President, Vice President, Corporate Secretary, and Treasurer.

What are the food policies at UMSC?

UMSC allows patrons to either bring food or purchase if from our snack bar. The UMSC snack bar offers a wide variety of foods - anything from Italian Ice to high quality steak sandwiches cooked to perfection by our expert staff. If one wishes to not purchase food from the snack bar, patrons may carry food into the club as long as there is no alchohol or glass involved. Our picnic areas even have gas grills which allow the most flexibility with cookouts. All we ask, is that our patrons keep food and drink out of the pools and off the deck. Don't forget to wait 30 minutes before swimming after a big meal!

Who represents UMSC, legally?

Grim, Biehn, and Thatcher in Perkasie, PA.
