Dual Meet 1 – Thursday, June 22nd, AWAY at Hideaway

Dual Meet 2 – Thursday, June 29th, AWAY at Sunny Willow

Dual Meet 3 – Thursday, July 6th, HOME vs. Maple Manor

Dual Meet 4 – Saturday, July 8th, BYE

Dual Meet 5 – Tuesday, July 11th, HOME vs. Fort Washington

Dual Meet 6 – Saturday, July 15th, AWAY at Maplewood (UMSC Family Day)

Dual Meet 7 – Tuesday, July 18th, HOME vs. Manorlu

Rain Date #1 – Thursday, July 20th

                B Championships – Wednesday, July 26th at Maplewood

RESPONSIBILITIES OF COACHES: Please see below the following descriptions:

Head Swim Team Coach

The Head Swim Team Coach will have the responsibilities for the planning and conducting practice/competition activities for the Team consisting of the children (5 to 18 y/o) members of the summer swim club team in the Colonial Swim/Dive League of eastern Montgomery County, PA.  The candidate must exhibit the qualities of integrity, leadership, and a thorough knowledge of the sport of swimming, in addition to having a strong commitment and ability to motivate, teach, and counsel.

 

The “day to day” activities of the Head Swim Team Coach can be summarized as follows:

 

Wet Side Responsibilities

  • Oversees all levels of swimming: designs and plans for all groups
  • Direct, educate, and supervise the assistant coaches
  • Set practice groups and schedules
  • Oversee individual entries for dual meets and championships
  • Supervises athletes at practice and meets
  • Set attendance and discipline policies for swimmers with the help of the Swim/Dive Team Committee

Dry Side Responsibilities

  • Participate and interact with the Swim/Dive Team Committee and Parent Volunteer Committee
  • Responsible for the Roster of the Swim Team
  • Attend pertinent meetings (Registration, Team, Parent, League, etc.)
  • Coordinate communication with Parent Volunteer Committee
    • Prepare a weekly schedule to be distributed to the Team Families

Assistant Swim Team Coach

The Assistant Swim Team Coach will have the responsibilities of supporting the Head Swim Team Coach with the training and competition activities for the team in the Colonial Swim/Dive League of eastern Montgomery County, PA.  The candidate must exhibit the qualities of integrity, leadership, and a thorough knowledge of the sport of swimming, in addition to having a strong commitment and ability to motivate, teach, and counsel.

  • Supervise and coach practice groups
  • Assist the Head Coach with the individual entries for dual meets and championships
